It FINALLY happened!!!

So here's the story! On May 22nd 2011 my parents anniversary and Alyssa's graduation; Grant Stephen Pinkley took me to dinner at Chili's. We both weren't that hungry so we got a light dinner. After dinner Grant suggested that we should go to Gray's Lake (where he originally asked me out) and so we did. It was such a beautiful day! We walked along the bridge and saw Matt and Leah and we stopped and talked to them for awhile and then we went to the beach. Where as you can see in the picture there was this cute rock sitting there and we went and sat by the rock for awhile. Then Grant got in the sand and was playing around in it...well then he brushed back some of the sand and said, "What the heck? What's this?" I looked down and was in SHOCK! Right there buried in the sand was a RING BOX!!! I just looked up at him and said, "WHAT?! Grant is this FOR REAL?!" Then from there I was a MESS I was crying like a baby! Grant grabbed my hand and I looked him in the eyes and he had tears in his eyes and said, "Allison, I knew from the first night at Starbucks that I wanted to marry you. I love how beautiful you are on the outside but especially on the inside...and he kept going but it was cloudy, then he said Will you marry me?!"I kissed him! And kept kissing him! Then all the people around started cheering! It was AMAZING!!! Then I pulled back and said "YES! OH I WANT TO SAY YES!!!" Grant had bought my DREAM ring! It is seriously so AMAZING! I LOVE IT! Then of course we wanted to tell everyone the BIG news! So I started calling EVERYONE my Mom answered and said she was at the church for a meeting for Clarity and Lisa and Ryan were there! So I kept calling EVERYONE and hardly anyone would answer! So we finally got to the church and I was still and mess just crying like a baby! And I saw my Mom, Dad, Lisa, Jen, Deanna, and then they said Ryan was actually in the Senior High Room so I went in to show him and GUESS WHAT?! SURPRISE!!!! There was my ENTIRE family and ALL my FRIENDS!!!! It was AWESOME!! Then I found out that Meghan and Alyssa(grant's sisters) were at Gray's lake watching the ring and videoing and taking pictures! It was a PERFECT night! Now May 11th 2012 is the BIG DAYYYY!!!! YAY!!! Pictures of the RING will come!!!

These pictures are from all sorts of events that have happened since JUNE! I can't believe I have not posted in so LONG! Grant and I have grown so much together! We just celebrated Grant's 22nd birthday on the 30th of November! Also the same day we celebrated we had to celebrate our one year four months (no 31 days in November!) My best friend Amanda just got married December 3rd and pictures will come!

Bowling and Double Dates!

Grant and I have recently had the pleasure of getting to double date with Allison Rene Shafer and Adam Wayne White! We also had a fun night of bowling with Allison, Adam, Hannah, and Dustin! We went to Plaza Lanes. It was a Friday night after I closed at work. I had SUCH a wonderful time! We did the extreme bowling we had a blast! Well Grant was a little grumpy because he thought he was not bowling as well as he should have been! The weekend before that Grant, Adam, Allison, and myself went to Okoboji Restaurant and did karaoke! Well Allie and I did the boys chickened out! It was quite the night! Allie and I were going to sing the song I Love Rock N Roll but the girl who went right before us sang it so we ran up and took our name out. Then we decided to do These Boots are Made for Walkin'. Well Allie and I were lucky enough to be the LAST two to sing! So the first line was "Where my boots at?" or something like that and Allie is a very giggly person so she laughed through the first minute of the song. So here I am I was freaking out! Trying to sing by myself. It was the worst performance EVER! ha but we had a BLAST!

Happy Birthday to ME! MY 21st Birthday!

So I just had my 21st birthday on April 14th! I was naturally excited for my birthday, and I was so bothered because I knew that Grant had been putting it off. I knew he had been trying to think of something big to do but he waited till the LAST minute! So he had a game that Wednesday and I went to it and then he told me to dress up. So we got all dressed up! He took my to JOHNNY'S ITALIAN STEAKHOUSE!!! It was TO DIE for! It was such an nice restruant! We had a cozy little dinner to ourselves! We stuffed ourselves! They had the most amazing focassia bread! Oh my goodness! haha but then when we were leaving we see a limo out front and I'm like oh my goodness someone came here in a limo! But I keep walking and the limo driver comes up to me and says I hear today is a special day for you. And I'm thinking OH MY WORD! ANd so I say, Ya it is! And he goes well I'm here to drive you anywhere you'd like! I started FREAKING OUT! It was a wonderful surprise!!! WE had the BEST night! We stopped by my house and the place I work Sonny's Pizza Bistro! Then downtown! It was SUCH A WONDERFUL night! I loved it! :)

Our First Easter Together!

Grant and I just got to spend our first Easter together! We celebrated the Vanderpool Easter on the Saturday before Easter at CCBC! Then Sunday after church we went to the White side Easter at Grandma Char and Grandpa Wayne's house! We did not end up going to Grant's side of the family because his dad's mom is sick so Grant's dad, Steve, and his two younger sisters, Lena and Alyssa went with him to Tennessee to see Steve's mom. So I look forward to next year getting to spend Easter with his family too! We had such a fun filled time with all the youngsterS! God is really great!

Our First Valentine's Day Together

For our first Valentine's Day together, Grant took me to the TIM MCGRAW and LADY ANTEBELLUM concert! It was a GREAT night! He surprised me with beautiful red roses with a cute little puppy wrapped around the flowers that looks like his dog Domino! We went to dinner at Sonny's Pizza Bistro for dinner and us being us I were running behind! We could not find ANYWHERE to park! We finally parked and then could not find the right floor to get off of the elevator and we couldn't find our seats. It was just like one wrong thing after the other. But once we finally got in our seats, we had THE BEST NIGHT! It was soooo much fun! We SANG so loud and had SO much fun! that night was a BLAST! It was a crazy night of ups and downs! Regardless we had ourselves a night to remember!
