It's been FAR too long...so here are some randoms!

These pictures are from all sorts of events that have happened since JUNE! I can't believe I have not posted in so LONG! Grant and I have grown so much together! We just celebrated Grant's 22nd birthday on the 30th of November! Also the same day we celebrated we had to celebrate our one year four months (no 31 days in November!) My best friend Amanda just got married December 3rd and pictures will come!

Bowling and Double Dates!

Grant and I have recently had the pleasure of getting to double date with Allison Rene Shafer and Adam Wayne White! We also had a fun night of bowling with Allison, Adam, Hannah, and Dustin! We went to Plaza Lanes. It was a Friday night after I closed at work. I had SUCH a wonderful time! We did the extreme bowling we had a blast! Well Grant was a little grumpy because he thought he was not bowling as well as he should have been! The weekend before that Grant, Adam, Allison, and myself went to Okoboji Restaurant and did karaoke! Well Allie and I did the boys chickened out! It was quite the night! Allie and I were going to sing the song I Love Rock N Roll but the girl who went right before us sang it so we ran up and took our name out. Then we decided to do These Boots are Made for Walkin'. Well Allie and I were lucky enough to be the LAST two to sing! So the first line was "Where my boots at?" or something like that and Allie is a very giggly person so she laughed through the first minute of the song. So here I am I was freaking out! Trying to sing by myself. It was the worst performance EVER! ha but we had a BLAST!

Happy Birthday to ME! MY 21st Birthday!

So I just had my 21st birthday on April 14th! I was naturally excited for my birthday, and I was so bothered because I knew that Grant had been putting it off. I knew he had been trying to think of something big to do but he waited till the LAST minute! So he had a game that Wednesday and I went to it and then he told me to dress up. So we got all dressed up! He took my to JOHNNY'S ITALIAN STEAKHOUSE!!! It was TO DIE for! It was such an nice restruant! We had a cozy little dinner to ourselves! We stuffed ourselves! They had the most amazing focassia bread! Oh my goodness! haha but then when we were leaving we see a limo out front and I'm like oh my goodness someone came here in a limo! But I keep walking and the limo driver comes up to me and says I hear today is a special day for you. And I'm thinking OH MY WORD! ANd so I say, Ya it is! And he goes well I'm here to drive you anywhere you'd like! I started FREAKING OUT! It was a wonderful surprise!!! WE had the BEST night! We stopped by my house and the place I work Sonny's Pizza Bistro! Then downtown! It was SUCH A WONDERFUL night! I loved it! :)

Our First Easter Together!

Grant and I just got to spend our first Easter together! We celebrated the Vanderpool Easter on the Saturday before Easter at CCBC! Then Sunday after church we went to the White side Easter at Grandma Char and Grandpa Wayne's house! We did not end up going to Grant's side of the family because his dad's mom is sick so Grant's dad, Steve, and his two younger sisters, Lena and Alyssa went with him to Tennessee to see Steve's mom. So I look forward to next year getting to spend Easter with his family too! We had such a fun filled time with all the youngsterS! God is really great!

Our First Valentine's Day Together

For our first Valentine's Day together, Grant took me to the TIM MCGRAW and LADY ANTEBELLUM concert! It was a GREAT night! He surprised me with beautiful red roses with a cute little puppy wrapped around the flowers that looks like his dog Domino! We went to dinner at Sonny's Pizza Bistro for dinner and us being us I were running behind! We could not find ANYWHERE to park! We finally parked and then could not find the right floor to get off of the elevator and we couldn't find our seats. It was just like one wrong thing after the other. But once we finally got in our seats, we had THE BEST NIGHT! It was soooo much fun! We SANG so loud and had SO much fun! that night was a BLAST! It was a crazy night of ups and downs! Regardless we had ourselves a night to remember!

Time APART!

Today March 10th 2010 marks the first real time Grant and I will have to spend time apart! He left for Florida today, and I leave on Monday for a different part of Florida...we will be spending 13 LONG DAYS without each other! It is going to horrible! But being the sweet romantic man that he is he had hot tamales, a beautiful bouquet of flowers, and one of his old ipods with music he updated on it waiting for me when I got home from class today! It was the SWEETEST thing ever! He of course had a sweet love letter to go with it! It literally made me so happy! He is always so thoughtful! I am soooo LUCKY...I know!

gONe FiShINg!

Another one of my favorite dates we had getting to know each other was when Grant took me to this private pond. We had a I think an electric boat! It was the cutest little thing! So it was just the two of us on this little pond! So being the competitive people we are we want to out fish each other! So here we go I start catching fish left and right! Pretty much every time I put the pole in the water I have a fish! So I am just having a ball! It was hilarious because then Grant had to get the same lure as me! He was convinced that was it! However, I still out fished him! I think it ended up being 8-2 or 3! IT was GREAT! I knew it was driving him nuts that I beat him! :) it was an AMAZING night so we decide to come in and get off the pond because the bugs came out! So we pull back up to the dock and at this point in the night it was pretty dark out...so Grant somewhow got ahead of me. So I was trying to hurry up off the dock to meet up with him and BAM! I get my foot stuck in this huge pile of mud! This was SO embarrassng! WE had to go hose my foot off! I was filthy! It was a great night though and I think Grant was pretty impressed with my fishing skills but probably not my natural grace! HA! We had such a GREAt summer getting to know each other!

Mini Golfing!

One of the first few times Grant took me out we went Miniature Golfing! Grant and I were pretty comfortable around eachother but still not "dating" yet. So here we are at this fun little course, and poor Grant being the manly man that he is could not for the life of him stop sweating! This is one of the cutest nights ever! It was so hot! I myself was sweating and so I knew he was dying! So we actually had to stop playing for awhile and go inside the club house! (good thing this mini golf course had a main golf course too!) So after about a half hour of cooling off we finished the course! It was such a fun night and we still joke and laugh about how hot it was! It was one of my favorite dates!

When boy meets girl...

Well where should I begin? Grant and I met the week after I thought my life was coming to an end; little did I know it was just going to actually begin! On Thursday May 28th 2009 Grant decided to come to CLARITY a night for college aged adults get together and worship the Lord. Luckily for me, God had a bigger plan that night than I could have known. I made met Grant numerous times randomly throughout high school, so I see this amazingly good-looking guy standing at one of the group discussions tables. SO I turn and look at Hannah White and Amanda Godwin and say that guy is mine! (they think I'm kidding!) So I go over to him and just start talking and I am almost positive we hugged...however Grant does not believe so! Anyways we talk for awhile and then go our separate ways. Later that night or into the weekend I tell Jeremy (Heff) that he needs to hook me up! So later that weekend Amanda Godwin, Allie Shafer, and I go over to Nate Sneads where Grant just happened to be. So we talk quite a bit that night and then on facebook that night. That is where he finally asked me for my number. I think the next Sunday night we went out for coffee at Starbucks in Ankeny. We basically shut the place down. We talked non-stop all night. In the middle of our conversation my sister Sara called me like 15 times but my phone was in my purse and then got his number and kept calling him. Finally he said someone keeps calling me I'm sorry can I answer this quick...hilarious my mom and Sara crashed our first "date"to get my keys because Sara's car keys were in my car! It was a little embarrassing! Regardless, we slowly but surely fell in love.

Grant being the smart man that he is wanted to take our relationship slow and to not rush into anything. So we did not start dating until July 31st 2009 when Grant officially took me out to dinner at Three Timea's this is what he considered our FIRST DATE! After dinner he took me to Grey's Lake and we walked around the lake and onto the multicolored bridge and halfway and told me that he really liked me and I told him I really liked him and he said that he was falling hard for me and we officially became a couple.
